Whenever my frustration level goes down I try new things trying to get it to work, but as of yet I haven't found a solution.
<br />
<br />I imagine at some point I'll figure something out and then there'll be a flood of new posts!
<br />Have a happy weekend everyone- and go Hawks! <3Z. I started with a single easy-peasy coat of Sinful Colors dusty eggplant color, Mauvelous. I then added two layers of Hit Polish Fiery Nova, though really one would have been fine. This glitter is just great, it's a unique color combination (reds, fuschias, oranges in a grey base) and dries quick and really pretty smooth!
<br />
I added just a teeny bit of holo sparkle with Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond, then sealed everything in with NY Color Grand Central Station.
<br />
<br />
I love these special glitter polishes, they're so interesting to look at. I don't even miss not having stamped images, though maybe stripes would be neat over these colors. : )

This is two easy coats, then stamped with Sinful Colors Black on Black using plate QA88... which is seriously one of my favorite plates! Every design looks good and goes well together, though I think next time I'll try to do the same image on each nail.
<br />
As always, this got topped with NY Color Grand Central Station... still love that topcoat! And it hasn't gotten thick and gooey yet either, I'm super impressed.<br />

I love this plate, I purchased it off Born Pretty, it's QA88.<br />
<br />
For a plate whose regular price is only $2.99, it stamps so well! I'm so impressed, I especially love the tentacle-y parts of the design, it's why I purchased the plate.

This polish is SOOOOO GREAT!! This is Anise Killer Shoes, the prettiest, softest lavender-periwinkle duochrome I've ever seen. This was two coats and it is just so lovely, so easy to apply and wore like a champ!
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-M2sYdkDRAHc/VKxid-EPsOI/AAAAAAAABG8/FZcmWl_x0w4/s1600/Anise%2BKiller%2BShoes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-M2sYdkDRAHc/VKxid-EPsOI/AAAAAAAABG8/FZcmWl_x0w4/s1600/Anise%2BKiller%2BShoes.jpg" height="246" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I only discovered the brand when I went into DSW with a $5 off coupon for my birthday last month. I had picked out some socks when whaaa??? Is that polish I see at the register?!?
<br />
I grabbed Killer Shoes, but there were other colors that were pretty great too. (I've since gotten a back-up of Killer Shoes and also After Dark Dinner, a gorgeous dark fuschia.)
They're each $6, but it's buy one, get one 50% off. Minus the $5 coupon, heck yeah this amazing polish cost me $1.07!
<br />
<br />
Over top, I stamped with China Glaze's great silver, I'd Melt for You, using one of the neato Born Pretty plates I picked up in their Black Friday bonanza. And yes, I had just recently received the plate... totally worth the wait though! Everything I purchased was just super, I should do a post on the other nifty things I got.
<br />
This is plate BP-L 006, looks like it's sold out at the moment, but it's pretty new so I'm sure they'll get more soon.
<br />
<br />
My accent nails were one dabbed coat of Funky Fingers Sand & Stilettos over the Killer Shoes, it's the prettiest I've seen Stilettos look. The periwinkle underneath was just perfect. And that SPARKLE! WOOOO! I loved this look and wore it for quite a few days, till the tip wear was finally visible. Love it!
<br />

Hit Polish Into Darkness & Bundle Monster 609UGH! So this photo does absolutely NO justice to this lovely combination! Though I did take the pic super quick in an elevator before anyone else got in. lol
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GoXu5ngeIe4/VKxfKvixlDI/AAAAAAAABGA/pR3vNYQBv3M/s1600/NYE.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GoXu5ngeIe4/VKxfKvixlDI/AAAAAAAABGA/pR3vNYQBv3M/s1600/NYE.jpg" height="320" width="124" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I really, really wanted to stamp with my Bundle Monster clock image (plate 609) to celebrate the NYE countdown, but the teeny clocks just did not want to show up. I started with OPI 4 in the Morning since it's such a great quick-drying dark base to use, then a nice thick coat of Hit Polish's stunning glitterbomb Into Darkness.
<br />
<br />
On a few accent nails, I chose to stamp over 4 in the Morning, using the clocks image... and gears on the nails the clocks didn't transfer well on. My go-to stamping polish as of late, is of course Orly Voyeuristic Adventure. Seriously, could I not have found a pretty gold with a shorter name to stamp with??<br />
<br />
I then topped everything with Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond because it adds just the right amount of holo sparkle without overwhelming the underlayers. Not like this photo is proving that point or anything, just go with me here! lol
<br />
<br />
My bf and I drove up to Washington, D.C. for a Clutch concert at the 9:30 Club (it was awesome!) and we were able to visit a few museums and monuments. Our hotel, the Helix, was pretty awesome too. It was a great way to bring in the new year, I'm really excited for 2015!

<br />
<br />
I started with two coats of SpaRitual's drop-dead gorgeous red glitter, Spellbound, then stamped using Orly Voyeuristic Adventure. The image is from a BBF plate and it stamped nicely, if I do say so myself!
<br />
I hope everyone had a lovely holiday break, I know I did! : )

<br />
I stamped with Orly Voyeuristic Adventure using the Bundle Monster 613 plate. I think I prefer the scratches going across my nails or at an angle versus straight up and down, but that's pretty picky. The plate stamped nicely. : )

I was initially drawn to OPI Teenage Dream because I don't have it and OMG GLITTER but OPI DS Indulgence caught my eye and I figured it'd be a bit more holiday-y than a cotton candy glitterfest. lol
<br />
<br />
I also got OPI DS Tourmaline on my toes and it's so sparkly and pretty and girly, a perfect toe polish! I'll have to be on the lookout for that one and DS Titanium as well, both are really pretty.
<br />
<br />
Another reason I chose Indulgence was because I knew I could stamp over it when I got home! : P
<br />
I just received my recent Bundle Monster order and I truly love these plates... I got BM613, BM609, BM401, BM426, and BM415. I was especially looking forward to BM415, it's been on my wishlist for a while- I love all the designs! I'll try to get a pic of my new plates, they're great!<br />
<br />
I've really been wanting to play with some gear imagery, so stamping with Orly Voyeuristic Adventure I used both BM415 and BM609 to create some accent nails.
<br />

<br />
<br />
I didn't want to spend a lot of time on them since I knew I had a manicure appointment coming up, so I just had fun and did some simple stamping and glitter-fying.
<br />
I did learn that two coats of Sally Hansen Moonstone makes a nice pearly base for stamping, I then used NOPI Challenge Red-Y and Sinful Colors Snow Me White for the stamping and as undies for Funky Fingers glitterbomb Fra-Gee-Lay.
<br />
The stamping plate I used is Born Pretty 01, it stamps really well!

<br />
<br />
Lately, Ultas that carry the line have been clearancing some of the bottles out. I was able to get Boom Boom Pow, Lara's Theme, Walking on Sunshine, and Spring Buds for ~$2.50 each. I'll take it! The three cremes aren't much to write home about, but I figure I can always use them as undies for more interesting polish. Plus, they make a cute mini collection... and I would've felt bad leaving any at the store- they belong together!
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UDY0saTQrIw/VIhUgWU6wWI/AAAAAAAABEM/D5m3MlCRqlU/s1600/Haul%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UDY0saTQrIw/VIhUgWU6wWI/AAAAAAAABEM/D5m3MlCRqlU/s1600/Haul%2B3.jpg" height="196" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And to continue with the awesome polish news, I received my second Hit Polish order! YAY!
<br />
I need to take a haul picture, I purchased four drop-dead gorgeous glitter bombs and lots of delicious-smelling cuticle oils. The first polish I tried out is To Space and Beyond, a blue/gold/holo glitterfest. The density is just perfect and it applies like a dream, it even dries smooth! I layered it over two coats of OPI Ink (a gorgeous flecky blurple).
<br />
<br />
On two fingers, I layered a couple coats of Lippmann Boom Boom Pow over Orly Voyeuristic Adventure.
<br />
On the rest, I did two coats of OPI Ink and stamped a sweater design using the Orly and MoYou Festive 6. Love that plate!
<br />
<br />
I've been enjoying these mix and match looks, it keeps things interesting and I'm able to try out more polishes and stamp images. Plus, I don't have as many nails to stamp crooked! lol

They're not etched quite as deeply as MoYou so you need to work a bit faster, but the designs are pretty spectacular!
<br />
<br />
This is two coats of Revlon Rain Forest stamped with Orly Voyeuristic Adventure using BBF07 topped with NY Color Grand Central Station.
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BQ7Hg1TAOQ4/VIYrWOeyC-I/AAAAAAAABDs/pCUTOsczGR8/s1600/BBF.jpg" height="320" width="197" /></div>

<br />
Playing around with Sinful Colors Cool Grey and Black on Black with BBF30... I didn't keep it on long enough to do clean up, but will definitely be remembering this combination for later!
<br />

<br />
<br />
This is China Glaze Not in this Galaxy from their Hologlam collection. It applies easily and dries super quick, this is two coats. I figured I'll try stamping over it this evening, see what I can come up with.
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

AC Moore is selling polish! Called Tips & Toes, they can be purchased for 3 for $5 just like 5 Below. They had lots of colors and I like the bottles, they're skinny rectangles and they'll fit so easily next to each other in the Helmer.
<br />
I picked out three, all have code names vaguely based on the color... meh on that. This is BL103, which is either for blue or black. Probably blue since this is just the richest, deepest navy blue/purple/black. And it has micro holo... super pretty! It does dry a bit gritty and the holo density doesn't *quite* translate as well to the nail as in the bottle, but for $1.66 I will absolutely not complain! Plus! The formula is super pigmented, it's almost a one-coater. It's just when you hold your nails up to the light that you can see the streaks. Two coats takes care of that.
<br />
<br />
I added a layer of Khroma Crush holo glitter top coat, this is a nice addition to my holo glitter collection! I was in Ulta looking at Zoya Imogen, but saw this in the clearance section and figured I could replicate Imogen by using this over black.
<br />
<br />
I did use NY Color Grand Central Station top coat over everything. There is still some bumpiness, but everything is glossy and I loves it! Super simple outerspace look, the Tips & Toes polish is especially neat... it has this subtle royal blue cast that I honestly can say I've never seen another polish do. I just catch glimpses of it, but it goes away if you look too hard for it. I'm so impressed! It's a great polish.

<br />
<br />
For this look, I used China Glaze Glittering Garland (green glitter) and Define Good... (metallic burgundy), Orly Voyeuristic Adventure (champagne gold), SinfulShine Wisp (white creme), and Sinful Colors Holiday Rebel (Christmas glitter). The holly and stars were stamped using MoYou plate Festive 06... love that plate!
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mWPOVefZMs4/VH9leI5-gEI/AAAAAAAABCs/BxsEW3f8fFQ/s1600/MoYou%2BFestive%2B06%2B4.jpg" height="288" width="320" /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ef5xAixosbY/VH9lcOzNHjI/AAAAAAAABCk/nMR49tQ6_Ik/s1600/MoYou%2BFestive%2B06%2B3.jpg" height="237" width="320" /></div>
I used MoYou Festive 06 again, this time the snowflake design. I started with two coats of OPI 4 in the Morning, a satin black and stamped using Orly Voyeuristic Adventure and Fresh Paint Dreamcatcher and Arrowhead (metallic blue and pink). The Fresh Paints stamped quite well, cleanup was a bit more involved since they have some kind of micro flake in them and my cleanup brush wasn't doing a good job picking the extra up, just kinda smeared it around. A good handwashing once the polish dried took care of the little glittery bits afterwards though.
<br />

I love them so hard! : )
<br />
<br />
This is a couple easy-peasy coats of China Glaze OMG a UFO followed with either a layer of Orly Mirrorball (gorgeous!) or stamping with Sinful Colors Black on Black. I used MoYou's SciFi 06 plate... it stamps beautifully of course! The level of detail attained with even an inexpensive polish is so impressive, this makes me so happy!
<br />
I'm not quite as happy about how my left hand nails are nubbin-y again, but at least a lot of the stamping designs I have will look cute on them.

This is a couple easy coats of Nicole by OPI Challenge Red-Y, one of the free polishes Kellogg's was giving away earlier in the year with the purchase of specially marked cereal. The cream is Fresh Paint Coconut, it was not quite as easy to apply though I did just use one coat (careful application). I think the red and cream go well together, reminds me of vintage wool sweaters- which is perfect since I wanted to try out MoYou's Festive 06 plate.
<br />
<br />
I stamped with the same polishes, I'm pretty happy with how they stamped! I think I got lucky with how straight the design lined up on my nails... my right hand had a definite slanted look to it! lol Practice, practice!
<br />
<br />
My middle nail suffered a pretty bad break the next night and while I do think this design is cute on shorter nails, it looks wonky on different length nails (to me). I filed the rest down to somewhat match and am now rocking circuit board nails! Picture to come soon... : )

<br />
I was in love with my previous mani, this is OPI 4 in the Morning stamped with Orly Voyeuristic Adventure using MoYou Gothic 10. I love the cathedral windows and the face on my middle nail, so cool... and since it's a landscape designed plate, I was able to get images to cover my thumbs completely.

Another Polish JokeAnother nice combination, this is two coats of Sinful Colors Vintage and then a coat of OPI's pretty gold Oy! Another Polish Joke. Though everything dried smooth, I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri for longer wear... going three days now!
<br />
Vintage is really nice, the formula has a good thickness making it easy to work with. Not really captured in the photos is the uniqueness of Polish Joke, it looks like super super fine milled gold, green, and copper glitter! Together, the two polishes really make an interesting look... equally green and gold, it shifts back and forth- love it!
<br />
<br />
I picked up Polish Joke for $1.69 on clearance at Ulta... my last name from my previous marriage is Polish and I love it- both the name and the polish! Polish polish! Ha!

Yay! I feel like I've leveled up in nail art! lol Baby steps, I know!
<br />
On most nails, I started with Revlon Stiletto, a really nice opaque black creme. Using my already much loved Messy Mansion plate, MM24, I stamped the text with Sinful Colors' white creme, Snow Me White.
<br />
And lookit that! My pinky's all wonky! lol! I redid it a couple times, then had to cut my losses and go with this. : P<br />
<br />
For accent nails, I started with a layer of SpaRitual's gorgeous deep red glitter Spellbound then using a makeup sponge, pounced Stilello and Spellbound over the base layer till the colors blended.
<br />
<br />
I topped everything with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri. It not only will protect the delicate stamping details, but blended the red/black gradient a bit more. The fact that it helps me go to bed a bit earlier because of its quick drying talents is a huge perk, too!

I couldn't bear to leave it though since I've been wanting it for a while, so home it came. This is OPI Today I Accomplished Zero, from their summer 2014 Coca-Cola collaberation.
<br />
<br />
This is two very easy coats, the formula was thick, but in a way that made it super easy to get the polish in a nice curve along my cuticle. It did dry textured, a sort-of smooth bumpiness because of the glitter. I didn't top coat it, it didn't seem to really need it.
<br />
<br />
The polish is a bit of a bear to remove, the glitter wants to staaayyy on your nail and if it can't, it'll go everywhere else instead! I really need to pick up one of those plastic remover tubs, I've read they're great for glitter polishes.

And two, I'm going to need to deal with the fact that I can not line up text on my pinky finger! lol!
<br />
<br />
I started with a lovely new China Glaze one-coat wonder, Out like a Light, a gorgeous dark grey creme. I then used China Glaze I'd Melt for You (also from their 2014 Holiday collection) to stamp. I recently received my Messy Mansion order- MM24 has been a need-to-own since the first time I saw it!
<br />
<br />
To mix it up a bit, I did a couple nails with Orly Mirrorball, it's such a pretty holographic polish with larger bits of holo glitter as well. It really is unique when compared to my other holo polishes!

<br />Alas, your beauty does not *quite* translate to the nail, but that's ok, I still love you.
<br />
<br />I started with a thick layer of Revlon Stiletto (black creme) then the pretty black Orly jelly, Androgenie.
<br />The look wasn't quite the POW! I was hoping for, so I added some Piggy Polish Finger Festival (dense holgraphic glitter) on the tips then a layer of Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond (a not-so-dense holo glitter)over everything. POW! lol </swoon><br />

Clean up? Please. lol
<br />
This is Sinful Colors Let's Talk, an amazing electric purple and Funky Fingers glitter Anna from their Frostbitten aka Frozen collection.
<br />
Two coats of Let's Talk covers well, but I really don't recommend polishing in the car. : P<br />
