Added a coat of Hit Polish Pegasus over China Glaze Not in this Galaxy- it's such a great glitter, really jazzes up any color!

China Glaze Not in this Galaxy
Yet another instance of me playing with polish too long at night, not leaving enough time to do a proper complete look, and having to throw *something* on my nails right before I get out of the car at work the next morning!
This is China Glaze Not in this Galaxy from their Hologlam collection. It applies easily and dries super quick, this is two coats. I figured I'll try stamping over it this evening, see what I can come up with.

Christmas stamping!
I've been having fun with some holiday looks, both are stamped of course!
For this look, I used China Glaze Glittering Garland (green glitter) and Define Good... (metallic burgundy), Orly Voyeuristic Adventure (champagne gold), SinfulShine Wisp (white creme), and Sinful Colors Holiday Rebel (Christmas glitter). The holly and stars were stamped using MoYou plate Festive 06... love that plate!
I used MoYou Festive 06 again, this time the snowflake design. I started with two coats of OPI 4 in the Morning, a satin black and stamped using Orly Voyeuristic Adventure and Fresh Paint Dreamcatcher and Arrowhead (metallic blue and pink). The Fresh Paints stamped quite well, cleanup was a bit more involved since they have some kind of micro flake in them and my cleanup brush wasn't doing a good job picking the extra up, just kinda smeared it around. A good handwashing once the polish dried took care of the little glittery bits afterwards though.

Circuit Stamping otherwise known as the reason I got into stamping!
It was seeing the circuit board stamping designs online that totally made me swoon and got me into stamping... I love them so hard! : )
This is a couple easy-peasy coats of China Glaze OMG a UFO followed with either a layer of Orly Mirrorball (gorgeous!) or stamping with Sinful Colors Black on Black. I used MoYou's SciFi 06 plate... it stamps beautifully of course! The level of detail attained with even an inexpensive polish is so impressive, this makes me so happy!
I'm not quite as happy about how my left hand nails are nubbin-y again, but at least a lot of the stamping designs I have will look cute on them.

More stamping fun!
SQUEEE! Stamping is just the best! If it's not obvious yet, I've been having lots of fun with my plates... especially now that I've received my MoYou order with the lovely XL stamper. It's seriously a night and day difference!
My latest haul...
China Glaze gift set (Define Good, No Peeking, and Dancing & Prancing)
NY Color Skyline Blue & Grand Central Station- my new favorite top coat!! Cheap, easy, and works great!
Dip-It polish remover from Target- works amazing! So much easier, especially for glitter. Orly Mirrorball (backup polish) & the free remover from Sally's
A couple Finger Paints polishes and the free holo phone/wallet case from Sally's Messy Mansion plates MM18 & MM24
Cheeky squishy rectangle stamper off Amazon
MoYou XL stamper and plates: Gothic 10, Festive 06, SciFi 06, Pro 04, & Fairytale 02
Not shown are the two Born Pretty plates I received yesterday, 01 and 24.
First time using the XL stamper and the Pro plate, this is Sinful Colors Black on Black over what I was wearing, China Glaze Don't Let the Dead Bite.
This is what I'm currently wearing, Orly Voyeuristic Adventure stamped over China Glaze Define Good using Born Pretty 24.
I was in love with my previous mani, this is OPI 4 in the Morning stamped with Orly Voyeuristic Adventure using MoYou Gothic 10. I love the cathedral windows and the face on my middle nail, so cool... and since it's a landscape designed plate, I was able to get images to cover my thumbs completely.

Messy Mansion 24 - China Glaze Out like a Light & I'd Melt for You, Orly Mirrorball
I've discovered a couple things over the last week or so... one, I LOVE stamping! And two, I'm going to need to deal with the fact that I can not line up text on my pinky finger! lol!
I started with a lovely new China Glaze one-coat wonder, Out like a Light, a gorgeous dark grey creme. I then used China Glaze I'd Melt for You (also from their 2014 Holiday collection) to stamp. I recently received my Messy Mansion order- MM24 has been a need-to-own since the first time I saw it!
To mix it up a bit, I did a couple nails with Orly Mirrorball, it's such a pretty holographic polish with larger bits of holo glitter as well. It really is unique when compared to my other holo polishes!

Bundle Monster Sun-Kissed Collection 2014
I'm so happy with these! When the design transfers nicely, it's like magic! lol
I wasn't done wearing the combination of China Glaze Take a Trek and Hit Polish Pegasus, so I added some stamping from Bundle Monster's 2014 Sun Kissed collection. I purchased the set off Amazon and I love the designs.
I had to redo my thumbs, so I used China Glaze OMG a UFO and Sci-Fly By from the same Hologlam collection. The green in OMG a UFO didn't show through Pegasus as well in person, the blues did the best I think.
I'm so impressed how even the mermaid's teeny hand and arm stamped cleanly, especially since I'm only using the little pink stamper that came with the small Essence intro to stamping set I picked up at Ulta. My Cheeky stamper from Amazon is on its way... any day now! I may *also* be expecting plate packages from Born Pretty, Messy Mansion, AND Loja BBF! SQUEE!!

Hit Polish Pegasus & China Glaze Take a Trek
I really love discovering new companies that not only make a great product, but have reasonable prices and lovely customer service!
I placed an order with Hit Polish through their Storenvy site and I'm so glad I did! My only wish is that I could have purchased more! I've been enjoying the cuticle oils I received and I just tried out this amazing glitter polish last night.
Pegasus, besides having an awesome name, is really lovely. There's a ton of silver/irridescent shimmer and larger holographic glitters. The formula is a good kind of thick and all you need is one coat! I layered it over a coat of China Glaze Take a Trek... I think the blue pairs so nicely with the glitters and it looks so pegasus-y!

China Glaze Be More Pacific & my first foray into stamping!
WELL! Stamping is NOT as easy as it would appear to be! lol
Between finding colors that work well together, picking polishes that stamp well, and transferring the image to the nail... yeah, there's definitely a learning curve here.
I used a couple coats of China Glaze Be More Pacific (that name makes me happy for some silly reason) then stamped this neato pattern from my first set of plates, BundleMonster 2014 Sun-Kissed Collection.
I thought it would look better matte so I used Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat, but even though I gave it lots of time to dry, it never did and all the under layers of polish got mushy so I took it off.
I'm still yet to wear a fully stamped mani outside the house... been doing lots of playing/swatching around at home... but when my skill level gets up there a bit, I'll be excited to rock the images from these plates, they're really nice.

Funky Fingers Sand & Stilettos and China Glaze Rendezvous with You
Today I have another really cool Funky Fingers polish, Sand & Stilettos. This is the most holographic glitter I think I have! I mean, other ones are blingy as well like OPI Which is Witch, but for a uniformly-shaped-glitter topper, this one will be hard to beat. There's some silver glitter thrown in there too!
I layered one coat of Sand & Stilettos over one coat of China Glaze Rendezvous with You and topped everything with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri to smooth everything out nice.

China Glaze Galactic Gray
Gah, I seriously need to even out my nail length... they're even bugging me in person. Anywhoo, this is China Glaze Galactic Gray from their Hologlam collection.
I love these polishes; they're pretty colors, apply nicely, and dry very quickly. I tend to get tip wear easily when wearing them though. They're easy to remove, so I guess that may just go with the territory. I'm sure it doesn't help that this is just one coat with no base or top coat... bad, I know. True story, I played around with different polishes last night for so long that when it got too late I just had to throw something on that I knew would dry quickly and wouldn't annoy me at work the next day.
The Hologlam polishes don't have an extreme holographic nature, but I still like them, they're more subtle and sometimes that's just what's needed.
Something to note, and maybe it's just my bottle, but my Galactic Gray is way thicker than any of the other colors from this collection I have. It still applied well and dried quickly, but I may need to add some thinner eventually.

China Glaze Bat My Eyes
At the Sally Beauty sale, I finally picked up a bottle of China Glaze Bat My Eyes. I had passed by it before, but for less than $2, it needed to come home with me. : )
The formula is glitter intense, gold in a black base with some small orange bar glitter thrown in for good measure.
I used two coats and despite the formula being pretty thick, it was easy to control. It dried pretty quickly to a semi-glossy finish and then I used a layer of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri to seal everything in and up the glossiness.

Bonita Wicked Good Time
According to RiteAid, it's time for Halloween polish! : P
I found Bonita's Witches' Ball Halloween polish display yesterday and thought it might have been from last year, but nope! This year! lol
Acid green polishes are my weakness, so Wicked Good Time came home with me. I liked a couple of the others, but I'll wait till they go on sale to pick them up. There was a pretty dark blue and the silver/white looked interesting as well.
This is just one coat of Wicked Good Time, the formula was thick in a good way and applied easily enough. I wanted a touch more pizazz so I topped it with China Glaze Fairy Dust then Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat. The holographic micro glitter didn't change the color at all and added just a hint of sparkly goodness.
Edited to add... this stained my nails something fierce, I'll definitely be using a couple coats of base next time!

China Glaze Sand Dolla Make You Holla
I LOVE THIS POLISH! : )
I loved this polish when I first saw swatches, but then I kept reading how people didn't care much for it so I didn't pick it up. I found a bottle at Ulta the other day on sale so I figured I'd give it a try.
This is three easy coats for opacity; this polish is super fun. It has this lovely soft pink/lilac tinge to the white base and all these teeny colored glitters. It truly looks like frosting.
The only thing about textured polish, for me, is waiting the day or so for the roughness along the free edge to wear down. The polish dried quickly and is wearing really well. It's a great polish for when you want something special, but nothing too dark or crazy.

Sinful Colors Bali Mist & NY Color Rock the Party
For these colors, I started with a single layer of my favorite black creme, Sinful Colors Black on Black. The formula is so great, if you're careful you only need one coat.
The green nails then have a single coat of Sinful Colors neat-o duochrome Bali Mist. At certain angles, the green switches to the prettiest blue.
For an accent nail, I used a coat of NY Color Rock the Party, another duochrome. This polish isn't a real obvious duochrome, but it does turn green at the right angles in the right lighting. Most of the time it has this purple cast, which is nice on its own.

Nina Ultra Pro Electric Slide & China Glaze VIII
Sometimes nail polish combinations can really surprise you, this combo is one of those!
This is one coat of China Glaze's really dark purple creme VIII and then two coats of Nina Ultra Pro Electric Slide. Electric Slide is this crazy-awesome neon yellow/green with glitter.
Layering the neon over the dark creme really highlighted the glitter... bright specks of yellow and green, it's really pretty!
Bonus: Electric Slide dries really smooth, no top coat required!

SpaRitual Invention & China Glaze Unplugged
NOW we're talking! This is SpaRitual Invention over China Glaze Unplugged.
Invention is the prettiest green/gold glass fleck, it's even pretty in the bottle. The formula is easy to apply, but sheer so I think some undies give it the oomph that really shows it off.
I layered two coats of Invention over two coats of Unplugged and since I needed to go to bed soon, I hurried up the drying time by using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat.
I asked my son what color he thought my nails were and he said "bluegill", referring to the pretty fish that's so common in the lakes around here. I couldn't agree more!

China Glaze Unplugged
Not the best photos, but you get the idea. This is China Glaze Unplugged, a shimmery medium brown.
This definitely needs at least two coats, the first was thin and streaky. I knew I was going to be topping it with another polish later, but it looked ok by itself at two. It's not my favorite color, but I do think it'll make good undies for some other polishes I have.

China Glaze Riveting & Orly Lavish Bash
China Glaze Riveting is from the Capitol Collection (Hunger Games), I've ended up owning several polishes from that collection that I really like. The formula was just perfect, nearly a one-coater and easy to manipulate around the cuticle into getting a nice curve.
I topped Riveting with two coats of Orly Lavish Bash. This glitter topper is great! It's gold microglitter and teeny holographic bar glitter in a clear base, you get a nice glitter payout even with just one coat. I wanted even more, so I went with two. Normally I really can't stand bar glitters, but they're so teeny in this- they look like sparkly little metal slivers.
Dry time was running a bit long so I added a layer of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat and now everything's sealed in and glossy.

China Glaze I'm with the Lifeguard & Nina Ultra Pro Electric Slide
I've gotten a little bit out of order, but one of the reasons I purchased China Glaze I'm with the Lifeguard was to use it as undies for Nina Ultra Pro Electric Slide.
I saw this amazing neon lemon-lime at Sally Beauty and it had to come home with me! The formula is pretty sheer, hence the layering.
Besides the color of course, I really like how Electric Slide isn't too glitter intense. There's just enough to add interest without competing with the color.
