Orly Sparkling Garbage

I love this polish! I think I need to get a few back-ups...
This is Orly Sparkling Garbage, a sheer murky green with tons of itty bitty holographic bits. I used two-three coats and the formula was great, dried really smooth.
I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri topcoat so I'm not quite sure how long the Orly would have taken to dry by itself. The topcoat really adds a nice gloss, Sparkling Garbage wasn't gritty though.

Spoiled Shrimp on the Barbie

I'm so happy to have found this color finally! I had seen it at the first CVS I went to, but the only bottle they had had spilled and was all dried out. Third time was the charm and I was able to bring this nifty color home.
Besides having a great name, Spoiled Shrimp on the Barbie is just a neat color. I'd almost call it a duochrome... depending on lighting, it's orange or pink or coral or almost gold. It's got chunky flecks, but dries smooth.
The formula was a bit odd though, it's thick and kinda goopy. Application was simple, but it took a while to dry even after using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri topcoat. Usually the Insta-Dri has a certain hardness after a while, but with this polish it never quite seemed to get there. It retained a sense of gumminess... it's hard to describe.
The color is worth it though and I'm glad to have this polish in my collection.

Spoiled skittles!

I just discovered the Spoiled brand a few days ago when I popped into a CVS looking for the new gold label Milani colors.
The brand has some unique colors and their names are pretty funny. The polishes are normally $1.99, but this week they're on sale Buy 2, Get 1 Free. So I did!

Thumb - Shrimp on the Barbie - A perfect shrimpy color! This color is so neat and different, it's a pink/orange/coral with gold flecks/shimmer.
Index - I'm so Plastered - The name! lol! A really pretty rosy metallic.
Middle - Are Mermaids Real? - A nice blurple with lots of gold shimmer.
Ring - Fair Metal - A bright lilac chrome.
Pinky - I'm so Jaded - The perfect acid green with shimmer, love it!

The two metallics apply really nicely, no brushstrokes and they seem like they'll dry in a decent amount of time. I used two coats on all fingers, except my middle and pinky, those are three coats. All the formulas were fine to apply, dry time seems to be a bit longer than I'd like.
I've read online that this brand's brushes can be really wonky, so I made sure to check all of mine before I purchased. Some were definitely better than others!

Finger Paints Colorful Dream

Here's two coats of Sally Hansen Black Diamonds, then two coats of Finger Paints Colorful Dream. This is the first time I've really used a flakie polish and I think they turned out so pretty. I wanted the colors to stand out a bit more, so I topped everything with Sally Hansen Big Matte Topcat.
AND IT NEVER DRIED! AHHHHH!

My nails were dry to the touch, but after washing my hands in warm water the polish just goopily slid right off. I was so bummed, they were so pretty!
I'm not sure which product had problems drying, I'll try again later. At least I got a picture!

Sinful Colors Leather Loosed

Looking over the Sinful Colors display in WalMart last weekend, I was happy to find a few polishes I hadn't found in Walgreen's.
This is Leather Loosed, a matte dark brown with small coppery flecks. The color is nice and application was fairly easy, it definitely needs at least two coats. It dries quickly as well, always nice.
Overall, the polish is ok, I wish the copper flecks stood out a bit more though. Maybe topcoat would help that along.

China Glaze Riveting & Orly Lavish Bash

China Glaze Riveting is from the Capitol Collection (Hunger Games), I've ended up owning several polishes from that collection that I really like. The formula was just perfect, nearly a one-coater and easy to manipulate around the cuticle into getting a nice curve.
I topped Riveting with two coats of Orly Lavish Bash. This glitter topper is great! It's gold microglitter and teeny holographic bar glitter in a clear base, you get a nice glitter payout even with just one coat. I wanted even more, so I went with two. Normally I really can't stand bar glitters, but they're so teeny in this- they look like sparkly little metal slivers.
Dry time was running a bit long so I added a layer of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat and now everything's sealed in and glossy.

China Glaze I'm with the Lifeguard & Nina Ultra Pro Electric Slide

I've gotten a little bit out of order, but one of the reasons I purchased China Glaze I'm with the Lifeguard was to use it as undies for Nina Ultra Pro Electric Slide.
I saw this amazing neon lemon-lime at Sally Beauty and it had to come home with me! The formula is pretty sheer, hence the layering.
Besides the color of course, I really like how Electric Slide isn't too glitter intense. There's just enough to add interest without competing with the color.
